learning curve

// September 5th, 2007 // church

We are planning to go multi-site very soon, so my new sub-job here at Bay is putting all this together, planning, and basically making it happen. It’s been awesome so far. Last week I had the chance of not only visiting, but touring and meeting some key people at Lifechurch.tv. What an amazing ministry this is, who are not only seeing hundreds come to Christ every week but are giving away all the resources that they have produced (children’s curriculum coming soon) to assist churches in being more effective. (lifechurch.tv/open) What a kingdom mindset.I learned another lesson from these guys… simplicity. Why make ministry complicated, why expect our people to jump through hoops, dodge our extremely intricate organizational charts… just keep it simple. In our first few minutes there we learned that Lifechurch.tv is 5 things…

1/ the weekend experience
2/ kids ministry
3/ youth ministry
4/ lifegroups
5/ lifemissions.

If it doesn’t fall into one of those catagories then it doesn’t happen at lifechurch.tv. This is just one of the many things that I’ve learned… I will share more later.
