reading list
Filed Under (creative, leadership) by trey on 02-01-2008
I’m a terrible reader, not in the sense that I don’t read good, but in the sense that I’m slow and have a fear of commitment. I typically get about 3 to 4 chapters into a book then ditch it because I’m bored (my ADD kicks in). But one of my goals this year is to read a little more, which means 5 to 6 chapters of about 5 books (up from 3 in previous years). Here are the top 5 on my list and hopefully I’ll surprise myself and read even more. (any suggestions?)

Also, I am starting season 1 of Lost tonight, so I’ve got a lot to catch up on before Jan 31st (season 4 premiere). um probably not much reading going to happen between now and then… so much for new years goals.

Well balanced list.
Dude, I am with you on reading. I did a 10 books in 10 weeks thing last summer on my blog that kept my brain going pretty crazy, but I’ve been a reader since!
The Three that had the biggest impact on me this year were, The Dangerous Act of Worship, The Gospel According To Starbucks and Under The Over Pass. Intense books, all well written and very challenging to our spiritual walk.
Thanks man, I’ll add those on to the list. I’m looking forward to tackling them.
Dude, 10 books in 10 weeks thats crazy, my head would explode.
My head almost did explode. One of the books was Simple Christian by NT Wright. I thought there was no way I’d even breathe after reading that one. I ended up with 9 in 11 weeks…so close. But I was happy!
No Way! Jon Foreman came out with a solo project. I’m so behind. I think the last CD I bought on iTunes was the Backyardigans or Hannah Montana. (coughs) Not for me, of course.
