a glorious design
It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. Long before we first heard of Christ and got our hopes up, he had his eye on us, had designs on us for glorious living, part of the overall purpose he is working out in everything and everyone.
/Ephesians 1.11-12
Long before I had even heard of Christ he had a design for my life.
Sometimes you’ve got to go back to the foundations, the stuff you’ve heard a million times, the stuff you’ve told other people. Growing up in church and ministry, and now being a pastor can make the most potent of truths seem dull and even out dated. But its so refreshing when God kicks the dust up and reminds you of the truth you’ve been standing on.Â
The truth is simple, I’m not created for the ordinary, God has a unique design for my life (that leads to glorious living), a grand purpose bigger than what I can see now… there’s more.
I love that before I even accepted Christ, he had his eye on me. I was his mark, his target, he was coming after me with everything he had, nothing would’ve stopped him from getting to me and revealing his grand purpose for my life.
It’s in Christ that we find out who we are and what we are living for. /Ephesians 1.11
Anyone else find that digging down to the foundations can be rewarding?
