the tyler durden workout

I found my new workout. Supposedly this is the workout Brad Pitt did to get ready for Fight Club.
The key to this workout is the rest time, which is when the muscles grow not during the actual time in the gym. He performed 3 sets, taking approximately 60 seconds to rest between each set. Also, he used a weight that was a challenge to complete 15 reps (with the exception of pushups and pullups), but be fatigued on the last rep. Its time to get ripped peeps!
/Monday – Chest
3 – 75 Push ups
3 – Bench press 165,195,225 (25, 15, 8 reps)
3 – Nautilus press 80,100,130
3 – Incline press 80,100,130
3 – Pec deck machine 60,70,80
/Tuesday – Back
3 – 25 ull ups
3 – Seated rows 75,80,85
3 – Lat pull downs 135,150,165
3 – T bar rows 80,95,110
/Wednesday – Shoulders
3 – Arnold press 55,55,55
3 – Laterals 30,30,30
3 – Front raises 25,25,25
Thursday – Biceps & Triceps
3 – Preacher curl machine 60,80,95
3 – EZ curls cable 50,65,80
3 – Hammer curls 30,45,55
3 – Push downs 70,85,100
Friday
Treadmill 60 minutes 80-90% MHR
Saturday
Treadmill 60 minutes 80-90% MHR

I got tired just reading it, but, yeah, that would be sweet. I made a deal with Leslie Brooke a few years ago that if I looked like Matthew McConaughey did in How To Lose A Guy in 10 Days that I could buy the Triumph Bonneville that he rode in the movie.
I haven’t made it yet. Maybe now’s the time!
Jay, ha. your right about getting tired just reading it. its funny you mentioned the bonneville, thats my favorite bike too, its on my wallpaper rotation for my desktop.
the numbers on the side of the exercise is it the reps or the weight amount
Hey Shaun, he did an average of 15 reps per excercise, but it’s up to you. The numbers next to each one is the weight of each set. Hope that helps.
There is NO way he was able to push 165 with 25 reps at a 150 lbs bodyweight, as well right after 15 reps of 195 lbs
i strongly agree with sam and 3 sets of 75 push ups seems to be over training your chest and i would instead of main workout monday tues weds thurs i would put cardio days inbetween your muscles need to rest it will improve your results of his ripped look… after monday doing this workout for the first time you would probably quit cuz you over trained and youll be sore for a couple days and bam you didnt progress.
The numbers next to exercises do not make sense.
How can one do bench presses 165-225, while doing 60-80 pec fly?
I push around 140-150 on both of those and dont see how there could be such gap in weights.
Don’t understand the reps. Does he do 3 times 15 reps on each exercise except for pull ups(3 times 25), bench press(25,15,8) and push ups(3times 75) OR does he do every exercise (25,15,8)???

I have done this workout numerous times yeah the chest day is the most painful by far but this workout is one that i only do for three to four weeks max. thebig downside of this workout is no leg work, and lack of cardio during the week but the workout itself feels like cardio
