Filed Under (baby alli, faith) by trey on 07-08-2008

This has been an extremely crazy week, so my apologies on the lack of blog love thats been comin’ atcha this week.

But I did want to share this one little bit of info, Beck told me earlier that our friends Richard and Janna have gotten a few good reports this week (thats right, a few) on baby Alli (original post). Some major improvements are starting to take place. All I can say is praise God, and thank you guys that have joined us in prayer and fasting this week, God is moving in her life and its huge.

I don’t speak medicalese, so if you want to read the specifics of whats going on with Alli, then check out Beck’s post here.

where 7 or more are gathered

I’ve posted several updates about our friends little girl Alli, if you need to play catch up see the original post here, and here are some pics. The short version is that she was born at 28 weeks, which means she was 12 weeks premature. She’s been in the hospital for over a month already, and its looking like she’s got a long way to go.

This week we found out that they’ve had some bad reports lately (read the details here), so Beck and I felt that we needed to spend some extra time fasting and praying this week and wanted to give you guys a chance to get involved.

Our plan is to begin today with 7 days of fasting. We aren’t asking anything specific but that you’d pray about being involved and exactly how to be involved. Whether you’d fast a meal a day, or one whole day over the 7, or maybe fast something other than food. We’d love to have at least 7 people join us this week, so that everyday is covered. We believe that where 7 or more of us are gathered around 1 little girl in prayer, that God will move in Alli’s life and we’ll see even bigger miracles take place.

Beck has posted the specific prayer request, check them out here.

If you plan to join us in this fast let us know, either drop a comment here or over on Beck’s blog. Thanks in advance guys… this is gonna be huge.

baby alli update

We found out last night that little Alli had to have a blood transfusion yesterday (read the rest of Alli’s story here). It had been mentioned Saturday that it was a possibility, but when Richard and Janna walked in on Sunday, Alli was right in the middle of the procedure. And as you can imagine thats not the way you wanna start off your Sunday. There have been a few other complications, so at this point its touch-n-go from day to day. But we are believing that this little girl is a fighter, and that God has her right where he wants her. Thank you for your prayers, I hope you’ll continue to stand with us.

Baby Alli is still doing really well (read the backstory here). She is a fighter! Beck and I went up to Birmingham earlier in the week to see them and I was able to snap a few pics. There are more here.

baby alli update

First off let me just say thanks to everyone who has prayed for baby Alli. If you have no idea what the heck I’m talking about, read the original post here.

Little Alli is doing great, only minor problems, most of which are normal considering she is 12 weeks early. Right now she is weighing in at a whopping 1 lb. and 10 oz, and she’s having a little trouble digesting her food. Yesterday was the first time Janna has been able to hold her, I can’t imagine how it feels to have to wait several days before holding your new baby. Thats gotta be insanely tough. I only had to wait about 20 seconds to hold Bella and that was too long.

Please continue praying for little Alli, Janna & Richard. They’ve still got a long way to go. Thanks.

please pray

This is Richard and Janna Phelps, they are very good friends of ours that live near Birmingham. They are expecting their first child in September. Last night we got a call letting us know that Janna was being rushed to the hospital because she was diagnosed with preeclampsia. Which, as most of you know, is very serious and scary.

We just found out that they will be forcing Janna into labor today, which puts the baby roughly 12 weeks early. They’ve said she will weigh between 1 and 2 pounds, and will be spending the next 3 or so months in a hospital.

If you will, please take a moment of your day and pray for our friends and little Alli, she’s got a long road ahead of her, and she needs all the prayer she can get.

UPDATE: I just got word that Janna had the baby early this morning (Wed - 6/25). Little Alli weighed in at 1 lb 12 oz. Please keep them in your prayers, they’ve still got a long way to go.Thanks.

Also, while your praying, head over to Wade Joye’s blog and read the story of his little girl and take a moment to pray for them as well. Wade is the Worship Pastor at Elevation Church, and he and his wife just had twin girls that were also 3 months early. One of them, Liana is having some major complications and they need us to lift them up during this time.

Thanks for joining with us to pray.
