the Brighter live recording

Check it out… next Wednesday, we will be recording our first live album for both a CD & DVD release of our youth worship band, The Brighter. These guys are incredible, I can’t wait for you worship pastors/leaders to get your hands on some of their songs. Trust me, its really great stuff!

We’ve been prepping this concert for a couple of weeks now getting everything ready and of course we aren’t there yet, but we are close. Next week I’ll post some stills of the show as well as rough cuts throughout the post process. If you’re local or even semi-local you need to be here, next Wednesday at 7p! As any other creative, I’m always looking for inspiration. And you know as well as I do, sometimes it comes in the strangest forms. But one thing is for sure, we are always looking for it, something that will inspire us to dream and create. Tonight I came across a goody that I wanted to pass along. It’s a site called Creattica (crazy awesome title), it’s an amazing gallery of “great design and inspirational imagery.” They also have a Creattica Daily that features tons of news and links for creatives and designers just waiting to inspire. Check it, hopefully you’ll be inspired as well.

Over the last month, I’ve been working with a couple of guys on producing a short film (I’ll post more details on the project a little later). Today, we hit downtown Mobile scouting locations and getting a little b-roll/test footage in prep for our principal shoot later in the month. I took tons of shots on my iPhone, and I thought a few of them turned out pretty rad (all of these were shot and edited using apps on my phone).

I’m a huge fan of stop motion work, and this is one of the coolest ones I’ve ever seen. The fact that it’s simply post-it notes is so rad. Alright, enough of me already, watch:
