She gets these mad skillz from me. What can I say. She had an opportunity with both an audience and Mark’s beautiful “peenano,” how could she not jump all over that. She rocked an original or two and she even threw a bit of Yancy’s Praise Party in there. But by the end of her performance, I think she may have let it all go to her head.

holiday highlights

Ok, I’m back… took a much needed break for the holidays from both blogging and work. It was awesome. Since you’ve missed me, I thought I’d give ya a few highlights from Team Taylors Rockin Christmas.

• Spending time with my girls tops the list easily.
• Bella ate Ho-Ho’s cookies. We only had 2 and after she put one on the plate she said, “I weal hungy” and we told her couldn’t have one coz they were for Ho-Ho so she licked it. Too cute.
• Due to my own stupidity I caused myself to bleed twice on Christmas Eve. (whats the flippin deal with the packaging of these toys and why’s my brother-in-laws knife so sharp?)
• Beck got me the perfect gift. Perfect. (Is it wrong to love an inanimate object?) I’ve wanted one for a long time.
• I got Beck the perfect gift, even though she says I got it more for me than her. eh, maybe shes right. And yes, of course I got the HD one.
• Got my new MacBook Pro in on the 26th, and dang this thing is bad.
• Mrs. Barbs cookies and Christmas treats! Ah-maz-ing!
• Went out with a bunch of friends to see A Christmas Story at the Saenger Theatre in downtown Mobile. (deck the halls with boughs of horry, ra ra ra ra ra, ra ra ra ra)
• Sunday night before Christmas we celebrated my grandparents 60th anniversary. Wow.
• We were blessed with a brand new beta fish (that bella named fishy) that we got from a dirty santa game that went terribly wrong.
• And our favorite Christmas pic this year is our monkey faces.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, give me a few of your highlights.

the bikes have arrived

Our annual Merry Christmas Baldwin County outreach (read more here) is off to an amazing start. The semi’s pulled up this morning and all the bikes have been unloaded and the assembly has begun. Here are a few shots I took before lunch.

Bay will be open from 9a to 9p today thru thursday for assembly, so come by, bring your family and help us build some bikes.
