planning center updated

For you guys out there that may not have found Planning Center Online yet, you need to. Its been one of the most useful tools we’ve ever used around here.

If you do use it, and for my guys, they have released some pretty cool updates. You can see the complete list of them here.

But the coolest new feature, the one I’m most excited about is their new iPhone interface. So all of you guys with iPhones can now access our schedules and services flows right from your phone. Unfortunately you can’t edit from the iPhone yet but I’m sure thats coming soon. I know I’m gonna be using this bad boy a lot!

Looky Looky what Microsoft uses for presentation. I wonder if they’re running ProPresenter.

wanted: motion fx help

We wrapped up The Blueprint series about 2 months ago, it was on building a healthy home. I wanted to show you guys the bumper that I whipped up in After Effects for the series. I’ve only recently started dabbling with AE as time allows (coz man it can suck up yo time). I shot the footage with the Z1U and tweaked the image in AE to match the series graphic that our design guru had put together. The video is very simple, the trickiest thing on this one was the 3D text, which for you motion genius’ I’m sure thats nothing. I would love some feedback. I was inspired by inWorship to post this, he had some great comments on a similar post so I just couldn’t pass it up. I’m looking for all the help I can get.

Ok, so give it to me straight… I’d love some tips and criticism.

I recently had another post with an AE project, take a look at it also and let me know what you think about that one too.

iphone in the hopper

iphonehopperThis is what you get for the guy that has everything. I came across it on TUAW, it’s by Naja King, and its not limited to throne room use only… the coil is 3 feet long and it’ll wrap around anything and hold your iPhone in place, so your hands are freed up. In this case thats probably a good thing.

oops at the saenger

Tonights Agape was amazing.  Over 1000 people showed up, which makes it our biggest Agape ever.  I’ll have some pictures up as soon as I round them all up. During the set up today we had a small accident… a very painful one. I thought I was going to cry.  Thank God no one was hurt.

If you’re in the church media field at all you should already be into the new magazine Collide (if not you really should be). But you may not be into the blog yet which is also really great, especially the latest that Scott McClellan posted. And their design work is amazing, check out the new issue’s cover here.
